Beautiful Camano Island State Park

Located on the Southwest side of the island, Camano Island state park encompasses over 134 acres of protected forest with 6,700 feet of rocky shoreline. Once you enter the park you will realize that this is truly a unique place.  There are plenty of activities to do such as a hiking trip, camping, shellfish harvesting, fishing, swimming, water skiing and boating.  The activities at the park include an amphitheater a fire circle and open fields near the water for you favorite sport. There are some great hiking adventure trails that encompasses the park for all skill levels.

Campsite Information

The camp has 88 standard sites, two hiker / biker sites, five cabins, one dump station, two restrooms, and two showers. Utility campsites are not available at the park. The upper camping loop (sites 43-88) are pull-through sites and are better suited for rv camping of up to 40-feet. All campsites are first come, first served.  Washington state parks reservation is required for overnight stays.  

Picnic & Day-Use Facilities

The Lowell Point Kitchen Shelter has a sink, wood stove, is wired for electricity, and will accommodate groups of up to 44 people. A generator and a small amount of firewood will be provided upon request. There are two large charcoal braziers and picnic tables. The North Beach picnic shelter is first come, first served and can accommodate up to 12 people.

Group Accommodations

The park offers one kitchen shelter and a group camp that accommodates a maximum of 100 people. The group camping area has restrooms and showers. Fees vary with size of the group.

Overnight Accommodations

The five cabins at Camano Island are in a diverse mature forest with views of Saratoga Passage. Each cabin is 12-by-20-feet in size and is furnished with one folding futon couch that sleeps two, one bunk bed that sleeps three, and a table with five chairs. Each cabin provides a fire ring, an upright pedestal grill, picnic table, and an 8-foot covered porch. For more information, visit our cabins and yurts page. Boating Features

Located in Island County on Puget Sound, Camano island has two boat ramps. A daily watercraft launching permit for $7 and a daily trailer dump permit for $5 is available at the park. Annual permits also may be purchased at State Parks Headquarters in Olympia, at region offices, online, and at parks when staff is available.
